At this time the Stuffy Clinic Program is on hold and we are unable to take new requests.
At MCHA, we believe animal ownership relationships are for life! For our young (and young at heart!) clients, that begins now! For those that have a beloved stuffed pet that maybe needs a patch, stitch or some TLC to get back to snuggle condition, MCHA is launching appointments just for these clients and their pets!
Sessions
- Tuesdays: 4-5pm or 5-6pm. (to reschedule, clients should call clinic directly)
- Appointments are available for stuffed animal owners to come in with their (stuffed) pet and meet with one of our veterinary team members to address repairing the stuffed animal.
Location
Monroe County Humane Association – Animal Care Campus
791 S Fieldstone Blvd
Bloomington, IN 47403
Registration
Appointment types are categorized in two tiers:
$25 Basic – Seam repairs, stuffing, simple stitching, etc.
$50 Advanced – Fabric or feature (eyes, noses) replacement, antique or fragile stuffys, etc.
Each appointment is designated for one stuffy repair. If you are unsure of which repair tier your stuffy needs, please email pictures and a brief description of the damage to receptionist@monroehumane.org for a pre-appointment consultation.
Please note that significant repairs may be referred to a professional restoration company.
Details
Stuffed animals will be kept with MCHA staff and volunteers for the duration of their treatment (2-3 weeks), until the pet can be discharged back to the owner. At these appointments we will talk with our young clients as if they are the owner of the pet and let them address the needs of their favorite stuffed animal’s needs.
Stuffed animals will be stitched, patched or repaired by our team of SSVM (Sewers of Stuffed Veterinary Medicine) volunteers.
